SEATTLE — A water rescue was underway in Lake Washington Tuesday evening. Around 6:40 p.m., Seattle police reported they had recovered a body from the lake.

The Medical Examiner will work to identify the person whose body was recovered.
Seattle fire officials, Seattle police, officials with the Washington State Patrol and officials with the Coast Guard all worked together in the earlier rescue efforts.
The person had reportedly last been seen in Lake Washington near midspan I-90.
