It’s a quiet start this morning, but a change is coming. We’ll have a mix of high clouds and some patchy fog early, then more sunbreaks this afternoon with highs in the mid-60s.
A stronger system will move in tonight, bringing increasing rain and wind. A Wind Advisory is in effect from 2 a.m. to 2 p.m. tomorrow for the San Juans and Whatcom County, where gusts could reach 40 to 45 mph. The rest of the area will also get breezy, with gusts around 30 to 35 mph.
Rain will increase tomorrow, with the heaviest amounts in the mountains. The North Interior could pick up close to a half-inch, while most other areas see around a tenth to a quarter-inch. Rain will be lighter around the Central Sound, but it will still be cloudy and gradually wetter through the day.
We’ll dry out pretty quickly Wednesday, with morning clouds giving way to afternoon sun. A weak system will brush the northern part of the area Thursday, bringing a few sprinkles near the Canadian border, but most of us will just see more clouds.
Then Friday and the weekend look pretty nice, with cool mornings, some low clouds early and afternoon sunshine.
