The U.S. Food and Drug Administration says a recall involving white jasmine rice has expanded to a dozen states – including Washington.

The recall involves more than 27,000 two-pound packages of rice from Lundberg Family Farms.

In April, the company began getting reports about “potential contamination with foreign materials.” New details, though, were released this month.

The rice was sold at major chains including Walmart, Target, and Whole Foods.

Impacted lots:

  • 260201MA with a best-before date of Feb. 1, 2027
  • 260202MA with a best-before date of Feb. 2, 2027

The rice was distributed to:

  • California
  • Connecticut
  • Florida
  • Illinois
  • North Carolina
  • New Hampshire
  • New York
  • Pennsylvania
  • Tennessee
  • Vermont
  • Washington
  • Wisconsin

No illnesses or injuries have been reported. Do not consume the rice. You should discard it immediately or return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
