Woman arrested for property damage at protest outside West Precinct, SPD says

SEATTLE — A woman was arrested Friday night for property damage during a protest, the Seattle Police Department said.

Protesters gathered outside the department’s West Precinct last night following a meeting between Mayor Jenny Durkan and leaders of CHOP, hours after demonstrators stopped city crews from removing barricades in the occupied protest zone.

The building sustained some damage, including a broken window. KIRO 7 saw crews boarding up the damage this morning.

SPD said the woman was booked into King County Jail on one count of property damage.
