UPDATE: Federal Way police found and took the 22-year-old suspect into custody in Lake Oswego, Oregon, on Sunday.
Federal Way police are searching for a 22-year-old Kent man they believe shot and killed his ex-girlfriend in the parking lot of a Federal Way strip mall late Friday night.
Police say the 22-year-old victim was found in the driver’s seat of her own car in a strip mall parking lot at 1st Avenue South and South 328th Street.
Anthony King and his family were walking past the parking lot when the shots rang out, and a second car raced away. “I’m just glad we weren’t in the line of fire,“ King said. “She was shot twice, and the paramedics did everything they could to keep her alive.“
Police would not identify the suspect they are seeking, but told KIRO 7 they’re confident they know who he is.
KIRO 7 will keep the story updated as police release more information about their manhunt.
