SEATTLE — Shortly before midnight Tuesday, a fight broke out in the 1500 block of 11th Avenue in Capitol Hill after a woman lightly bumped an unidentified suspect’s car door while exiting her vehicle.

What started as an argument between the woman and the suspect quickly escalated when the suspect repeatedly struck the victim in the head with a firearm. The suspect also used biased language targeted at the victim during the fight.

The suspect pistol-whipped the female victim and fired off a handgun round. The suspect then turned toward the bystander and struck him with his gun, causing its magazine to break and dump unspent rounds on the ground.

At this point, the suspect fled the scene, traveling northbound on 11th Avenue in a newer-model gray car, possibly a Mazda.

The victim was treated for their injuries at the scene by Seattle Fire Department. After an extensive search, Seattle police were unable to locate the suspect.
