SHORELINE, Wash. — King County deputies said a woman who returned to her SUV after shopping in Shoreline found a man passed out in her Jeep on Saturday.
Police said the man had broken a window to get into the Jeep. The owner yelled at the man, who woke up and looked around before apologizing.
He then stumbled out of the SUV and walked out of the parking lot.
A screwdriver and hammer were found near the Jeep’s broken window.
Based on the provided description, responding deputies found the man around 8:17 p.m. When they approached him, they noticed a strong smell of alcohol.
The victim identified the man as the person who had broken into her Jeep, and he was arrested.
During a search of the man, deputies said they found drug paraphernalia and four credit cards that were not his.
The man was booked into the South Correctional Entity jail for investigation of one count of second-degree vehicle prowl.
