Woman a victim of armed robbery in Seattle apartment elevator

SEATTLE — A woman was robbed at gunpoint in the elevator of her apartment building around 6:21 a.m. on Wednesday, according to Seattle police.

The woman was in the elevator when a man entered and demanded that she hand over her property, while pointing a handgun at her.

When she refused, the man fired one round into the wall of the elevator.

The woman handed over her property and the man ran in an unconfirmed direction.

At some point, the man dropped the property, which was recovered by the police.

Police took photos at the scene and retrieved evidence of the shooting.
