The State Patrol says a man arrested for hitting a dozen cars on I-5 in Seattle Wednesday night had been arrested two days ago in Oak Harbor, for driving under the influence of drugs

The 22-year-old driver was taken into custody after a multi-vehicle hit-and-run crash on Interstate 5 in South Seattle Wednesday night, troopers said.

The collision happened on northbound I-5 at Columbian Way, south of I-90.

About a dozen vehicles were involved in the crash.

Troopers told KIRO 7, after the crash, the driver made a U-turn and used the Columbian Way on-ramp to exit.

The driver then ran away.

Seattle police arrested the driver and he was taken to Harborview Medical Center to be evaluated.

Troopers said the driver was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.
