I-5 shooting damage Damage from the shooting on I-5 to the victim's gold Chevrolet Impala

SEATTLE — Washington State Patrol is looking for witnesses after a driver called early Tuesday reporting their car had been shot at on I-5.

Officials received the 911 call around 6 a.m.

The victim said he was driving on northbound I-5 near downtown Seattle when he noticed a car quickly driving toward him.

He said he changed lanes to let the vehicle pass but the other car made the same lane change.

The other car continued to change speeds before pulling up next to the victim and firing three shots, WSP said. The victim wasn’t injured.

The victim described the other car as an early 2000s red Lexus sedan with damage to the driver’s side fender and tinted windows.

State patrol detectives are seeking any witnesses to the shooting and information on the vehicle or suspect. If you have any information, contact Detective Haake at 425-401-7717.
