WSP seeking witnesses to I-5 shooting that left 2 injured

KING COUNTY, Wash. — Washington State Patrol is seeking witnesses to a shooting on I-5 early Tuesday that left two people injured.

WSP received a 911 call around 12:55 a.m. from someone saying they had been shot on northbound I-5 near SR 516.

When troopers responded, they found that the passenger and driver had been hit with gunfire, according to a press release.

The driver was hit in the left shoulder and the passenger was hit in the forearm. Both were taken to Harborview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The victims told detectives they were driving on I-5 when a car drove up next to them on the driver’s side and shot into the car. They said a second car drove up on the same side and fired additional shots into the car.

They were not able to provide descriptions of the cars.
