Yakima Police seek suspect in downtown vandalism spree

YAKIMA, Wash. — The Richard Zais Justice Center is operating under limited access after a recent act of vandalism caused significant damage to the building in Yakima.

Only individuals with scheduled appointments for Municipal Court, the Legal Department, or Yakima Police Department services will be allowed entry until further notice.

Municipal Court will remain open, but other access points to the building, including the YPD Services window, will be closed until repairs are completed.

Meanwhile, police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect believed to be responsible for a series of vandalism incidents in downtown Yakima.

Between 10:50 p.m. and 11:57 p.m. on December 11, the suspect allegedly vandalized six businesses.
