YAKIMA, Wash. — The Yakima Police Department is seeking the public’s help in finding a missing 4-year-old boy.

Lucian was last seen Saturday around 7:15 p.m. near the play area at Sarg Hubbard Park in Yakima. He was wearing blue shorts and a blue shirt with a shark on it.

Yakima County Search and Rescue is in charge of the search. According to YPD, drones and a dive team have been involved in the search.

Search efforts for Lucian continued overnight Sunday and detectives with the YPD worked late into the night investigating leads.

Several agencies including authorities from King and Kittitas Counties, the Gleed Fire Department and the Air Force branch in Spokane have provided resources and personnel to assist with the search efforts.

YPD is asking members of the public to submit any pictures or videos they may have from Sarg Hubbard Park on Saturday between 6:45 p.m. and 9 p.m. to YPD@yakimapolice.org. Others with tips are asked to call 911.

YPD also announced that there is an active statewide alert similar to an Amber Alert for Lucian. The alerts use the same network, but as of now, the case does not meet the criteria for an Amber Alert, according to YPD.

A candlelight vigil was held at Martin Luther King Park in Yakima on Sunday night for the community to pray for Lucian’s safe return.
