The Seattle Seahawks have unveiled an alternate logo.
In the new one, the team’s mascot faces forward.
“For everyone who’s ever wondered what it would like to… stand face-to-beak with a Seahawk,” the team wrote Tuesday on its Facebook page.
More than 17,000 people “liked” the new logo, which has the same color scheme.
The Seahawks have had the same logo since 2012 when they showed off new Nike-designed uniforms, according to ESPN.

The original logo dates back to 1976 when the team formed.
After the Seahawks put the logo on social media, the jokes started immediately.
Fans said it was too cute and cuddly. That it looked like a sea creature, an Angry Bird character, a mean cartoon, that the focus group must have been on drugs.
Paul Lukas of Uni Watch likened it to an ostrich.
The old logo, showing a hawk from the side, “looks like a serious bird of prey – steadfast, resolute, determined,” Lukas wrote. The new logo “looks more like prey – square-faced, thin-beaked, scrawny.”
The alternate logo is already being used by the Seahawks on its social media channels. No word on whether it will make a field appearance.
