New Chick-fil-A opens in Lynnwood

NOW PLAYING ABOVE

Chicken fans are enjoying food at the Chick-fil-A that opened in Lynnwood Thursday morning.
After the congestion around the Bellevue restaurant that opened last month, police in Lynnwood said they're working to accommodate as many customers as possible without traffic issues.
The new Chick-fil-A in Lynnwood at 3082 196th St. S.W. has 95 parking spaces for customers, while the store in Bellevue has 38. The Lynnwood location also has a separate drive-through lane, but police said only drive-through customers will be allowed in that lane. Another entrance is available for parking customers.
The new Chick-fil-A shares a parking lot with a Lowes store, but police don’t want restaurant customers parking in Lowes' spaces.
Chick-fil-A in Bellevue is working to secure more parking spaces through agreement with nearby businesses. Two traffic officers have been assigned to the intersection near the restaurant since it opened last month. The new traffic plan for the Bellevue restaurant allows 10 cars in the parking lot at a time with flaggers helping move traffic along 116th Avenue. Authorities say that plan is working.
For those traveling in Bellevue but not going to Chick-fil-A, officers recommend taking the Northeast 4th Street exit off Interstate 405 and going north on 116th to get around the chicken traffic.
