Man killed in Tacoma warehouse shooting

TACOMA, Wash. — A 40-year-old man died early Sunday morning in a shooting at a Tacoma warehouse, according to police.

Tacoma police responded to the area of 23rd and South Fawcett Avenue after reports of a shooting at 4:30 a.m. There were multiple 911 calls of several shots being fired with people and vehicles fleeing the area.

According to police, the incident happened during a party held at the building when an argument broke out.   After the argument, numerous shots were fired.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man who had been shot multiple times.

The Tacoma Fire Department arrived  to give medical attention to the wounded man.  He was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives have interviewed witnesses and are trying to locate others who fled the scene before police arrived.

There is no suspect information at this time, police said.
