MASON COUNTY, Wash. — Residents and livestock in Mason County evacuated Friday as a wildfire burns more than 100 acres in Matlock.
As of 9:45 p.m. on Friday, the fire burned 150 acres and eight to 10 structures.
By Sunday, the fire was 50% contained.
Since the fire wasn't 100% contained as of Sunday, officials advised that residents of the vicinity should be prepared to leave at a moment's notice.
West Deckerville Road was closed as people and animals evacuated on Friday. This included Frisken Y Road, W Homer Adams Road, W Lucas Lane, W Ford Road, and W Maple Rock Road.
Three structures were involved in the fire, according to Washington Emergency Management.
On Sunday, officials said 13 structures had burned in the fire, five of which were residences.

Mason County Emergency Operations Center was activated.
Washington Department of Resources had three helicopters working the fire.
