4-car crash backs up southbound I-5 near Marysville

MARYSVILLE, Wash. — Traffic is backed up for miles on southbound I-5 Wednesday morning after a four-car crash north of Marysville.

It happened north of Highway 2 at about 5:50 a.m.

The people involved in the crash have minor injuries.

As of 6 a.m., traffic was backed up six miles to SR 528.

Traffic reporter Tracy Taylor says drivers can take SR 529 or Highway 9 from Marysville to Everett to avoid the backup on I-5.

All lanes were back open shortly before 7 a.m.
