An adult family home in Snohomish was shut down by the Department of Social and Health Services after investigators said caregivers there did not administer prescribed medication, including morphine and OxyContin, to residents who badly needed it.

KIRO 7 spoke with the daughter of a resident who was given Tylenol instead of those stronger painkillers after a major head surgery.

According to DSHS, one resident was denied her pain medication for an extensive pressure ulcer. That resident died in July.
