Neighbors were first concerned they could become victims of identity theft.
Grace Phelps said she saw multiple rows of mailboxes torn off their base. Some were busted wide open.
Phelps’ box was empty.
“I am like, ‘Oh my God, did I even check my mail last night? Where’s my mail?’” said Phelps.
Kevin Hardman found his mailbox upside down.
He's lived there for 10 years and said he's seen the neighborhood changed for the worst.
“We have seen more crimes in the area. We had numerous packages stolen out of our doorsteps from Amazon, Macy’s and what not,” said Hardman. “There’s a lot of people in the neighborhood definitely wanting to sell and get out of here.”
For now, she’s keeping a close eye on her credit and hopes something like this won’t happen again.
We reached out to the Crossing at North Creek's Homeowners Association for their response to neighbors’ concerns.
We also asked for surveillance video that may show what happened to the mailboxes.
As of noon Wednesday, we had not heard back.
