EVERETT, Wash. — A 34-year-old man, who was recognized as a prolific vehicle thief by Everett police, was arrested Monday night after a traffic stop.
The Everett Anti-Crime Team saw a 2002 Cadillac DeVille make a traffic violation and initiated a stop.
While speaking to the driver, officers recognized the man in the back seat as a prolific vehicle thief that is known to carry a firearm.
The man is a convicted felon with pending cases and a current probable cause for arrest from taking a vehicle without permission.
He was taken into custody without incident, and officers recovered a loaded Kimber pistol from the back seat.
Officers discovered the gun was recently stolen in Everett.
While searching the man, officers seized approximately 50 fentanyl pills, 2.5 grams of methamphetamine and over $450 in cash.
He was booked into the Snohomish County jail on probable cause while officers investigate for the firearm and drugs.
