A treasure hunt promotion by Peoples Bank has people all over six counties looking for little green pigs.
From July 18 to August 1, nearly 500 little green piggy banks will be hidden within 1 mile of Peoples Bank branches across Snohomish, Island, Whatcom, Skagit, Chelan and King counties, all stuffed with $20 in cash.
According to Peoples Bank, the pigs tend to enjoy parks, views and scenic trails.
@peoplesbank_wa We went out pig hunting in Edmonds today and my daughter was so excited to find this pig! Thank you for this fun event. She's looking forward to spending her findings at local shops (and is just as excited about the pig!) pic.twitter.com/xpvdXSHvZV

Clues to finding the lost piggies will be made on the bank’s Twitter page, like this clue for a pig in Ferndale, under what appears to be children’s playground equipment.
If you’re in Ferndale, WA, this 🐷‘s for you!

However, people who find a pig and submit a picture of themselves with the pig, are eligible to win the grand prize of $1,000.

People are welcome to find more than one pig, but only one person can win the grand prize.
While picking up garbage this morning in Edmonds, WA, Kiko and I spotted a pair of eyes staring back at us from the bushes. Turns out it was a piggy bank with $20 in it from @peoplesbank_wa Thank You for making my day! pic.twitter.com/cBdr5nzKtW
