SEQUIM, Wash. — A father abandoned his two young children in the 7 Cedars Casino parking lot, according to the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office.
At about 5 a.m. Saturday, Travis Michael Parker went to the casino and parked in the lot with his two children inside and left them there when he went inside, officials said.
They said Parker called the children’s mother and told her that she needed to come get them because he had to go to work.
The children’s mother asked Parker to take the children to her home and she would meet them there.
Officials said Parker then left the casino, removed the two children from the car, and while they were still in their car seats, left the children in the parking lot and drove off.
A patron going into the casino spotted the children and notified security, who notified the mother.
The children were then safely returned to her.
The sheriff’s office has asked for help in finding Parker, who is described as being 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighing about 135 pounds and has brown hair and eyes.
