Snohomish district plans $470M bond for new schools, updates

The Snohomish School District will ask voters to back a $470 million bond.
Last week, the district voted to put the bond on February's ballot.
Most of the money will go toward replacing or renovating schools.
The district says it will also reduce the number of portable classrooms and upgrade security equipment on every campus.
About 9,800 students attend schools in the district.
