Investigators say that shortly before 9 p.m. Sunday, they received a call about a group of teens spray-painting cars and stealing packages at homes near Kellogg Marsh Elementary.

While officers were responding to that call and searching for the teens, a silent alarm was triggered at Cedarcrest Middle School, which is only a few blocks away from Kellogg Marsh.

Police arrived to find broken windows and a fire in a dumpster.

The teens were later taken into custody by officers.

The teens, two boys and a girl, were booked on suspicion of malicious mischief.
