According to detectives, Song was shot in an argument over a 2006 Honda Pilot SUV. Investigators said the SUV had been borrowed by a couple of people, and Song and two others had gone to the Newberry Square Apartments parking lot to get it back.

While in the parking lot, the four people got into an argument and someone pulled out a gun and shot and killed Song, according to investigators. The suspects fled. Song died in the parking lot.

Investigators recovered the 2006 Honda Pilot on Sunday at a gas station in the 3900 block of Colby Avenue in Everett.

Initially, police had been searching for three suspects, but after following up on leads and witness interviews, detectives now believe there were only two people in the suspect vehicle, a female driver and the 19-year-old suspect.

Investigators believe that the suspect, who was in the passenger seat, fired a single shot through the closed window, striking and killing Song.

Detectives said they believe that they have located all the suspects related to the shooting and that the 19-year-old Everett man is the lone shooter.
