Pawn shop raid nets dozens of stolen weapons

NOW PLAYING ABOVE

Detectives from the King County Sheriff's Office recently raided the Boulevard Park Pawn near Burien and recovered dozens of stolen weapons.

Detectives recovered 51 rifles, pistols, shotguns and more. Twenty-one of the seized firearms are known to have been stolen, and have been linked to six recent burglaries in King and Pierce counties. Click here to see photos.

Deputies are trying to determine who owns the other 30, and whether they too were stolen.

“What concerns us (is), this is a business owner who’s using his seemingly reputable place of business to stockpile stolen weapons,” Sgt Benjamin Myers of the King County Sheriff’s Office told KIRO 7. “We know that stolen firearms are often used in other crimes.”

The owner of the pawn shop, Carl Grahn of Burien, is being investigated for possession of stolen property and possession of stolen firearms, both of which are felonies. He was not available for immediate comment.

Myers expects criminal charges to be filed soon against Grahn.

Meanwhile, if you recognize any of the weapons in the photos, contact the King County Sheriff’s Office.
