Richard Sherman posts precious family photo with new baby

SEATTLE — "Best part of my life," Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman wrote on his Instagram post accompanying a photo of him and his family.

This is one of the first few photos Sherman has shared of his new son Rayden, who was born just days after the superbowl. 

Sherman, whose number is 25, previously tweeted that his son arrived on 2/5.

"My son sure does know how to make an entrance! 2/5/15... Is it a coincidence or is he just that clever?! Either way I'm ecstatic!" he tweet in February.

There had been concerns that Sherman’s girlfriend could give birth on Super Bowl Sunday.

During a news conference before the SB49, Sherman was asked about the new addition.

"I think he's going to be a disciplined young man and stay in there until after the game," Sherman told ESPN, smiling. "He's going to do his father his first favor and stay in there for another week or two."
