Plane lands safely at SeaTac in precautionary landing

SEATTLE — Delta flight 198 has landed safely in SeaTac Airport after a warning light came on for its nose wheel steering capability.

The flight came in from Incheon International Airport in South Korea.

A crew brought out equipment in case of any issues with landing.

It landed without problems after making it to the runway around 11 a.m.

Delta Air Lines released the following statement:

"The crew of Delta flight 198 from Incheon International Airport in South Korea to Seattle followed established procedures and requested priority handling by Seattle air traffic control after receiving a cockpit indication of a possible issue with the Airbus A330's nose wheel steering capability. The aircraft landed without incident and taxied to the gate normally. The safety of Delta's customers and crew members is our top priority.

"The nose wheel steering capability is used only for aircraft taxiing on the ground. After landing, the system was reset and the aircraft was able to taxi normally.

"There were 291 customers and 13 total crew members on board."
