KING COUNTY, Wash. — Serial prowler Shayne C. Kennedy was located and arrested by police at 5:40 Friday evening.

Police say Kennedy was found by a K-9 unit in the woods near Fall City.

The King County Sheriff's Office asked for the public’s help to find Kennedy in the unincorporated area near Sammamish.

Investigators said they had probable cause to arrest Shayne C. Kennedy on charges of possession of stolen property.

Kennedy was described as white, 41 years old, 6 feet tall and about 190 pounds. He has long, reddish-blond hair that is often pulled back in a ponytail, and had last been seen wearing a bulky water-resistant outfit and a backpack.

Police said Kennedy committed most of his crimes and other suspected crimes between the hours of 8:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.

Police said Kennedy is known to take items from unlocked garages or outbuildings.

The Sheriff's Office reminded residents to make sure their homes, garages or outbuildings were kept locked.
