TACOMA, Wash. — Detectives in Tacoma are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed a bank Friday afternoon.
Police said at 1:15 p.m., a man entered the American West Bank in the 1000 Block of A Street in downtown Tacoma.
After stepping in, the man showed the teller a note that demanded money.
Police said the man took the money and walked out.
The man is described as white, in his 50s, about 6 feet tall and 190 pounds. During the robbery, he was seen wearing a tan collared shirt, a brown baseball hat, blue jeans, sunglasses and an orange construction vest with bright yellow reflective stripes on his shoulders.
Authorities believe the man may have been responsible for a bank robbery on July 31 at Key Bank on East 72nd Street and on Aug. 2 at a Key bank on South 19th Street in Tacoma.
Anyone with information is urged to call police.
