Police respond to gas station after prank call

SEATTLE — Officers responded to a gas station near the Central District Tuesday afternoon after a prank caller reported that an officer needed help.

The incident happened on 22nd Avenue and East Cherry Street just before 3 p.m.

When officers arrived, they did not find any activity or anyone at the station.

Police said that a person used a pay phone to make the call.

An employee at the gas station told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News that nothing strange happened at the store or gas station.
