Police searching for man in takeover bank robbery

SEATTLE — Police are searching for an armed man who robbed a bank in Seattle’s Magnolia neighborhood.

The robbery occurred at the US Bank at 3124 West McGraw Street shortly after 11 a.m.

According to police, a man walked into the bank, pulled out a gun and ordered customers and bank staff to the ground.

He demanded money and then ran from the bank with a bag of cash.

The robber is described as a white man with dark hair.  He was dressed in a yellow jacket, mask and sunglasses.

Video from Chopper 7 showed officers in an alley about a block from the bank taking a yellow jacket out of a recycling bin and looking for other signs of the robber.
