With more than 6,000 restaurants, fast food joint Wendy’s plans to have self-service ordering kiosks at its establishments as minimum wage hikes and a tight labor market push up wages.
Investor's Business Daily reported it will be up to the franchisees whether to deploy the labor-saving technology.
Wendy’s President Todd Penegor said some franchise locations have been raising prices to offset wage hikes.
The kiosks are expected to be in restaurants in the second half of the year.
