CHEHALIS, Wash. — One man was airlifted Sunday to Harborview Medical Center, the area's trauma center, after crashing into the back of a semitruck.
The crash happened about 6:40 p.m. on northbound I-5 near La Bree Road in Chehalis.
Washington State Patrol troopers said a 27-year-old driving a tow truck was too close to a semi towing two trailers.
The tow truck driver hit one of the semi's trailer when it stopped for traffic.
That crash caused all lanes to be blocked, but the road was eventually reopened.
No other injuries were reported.
A flatbed trailer the semi was towing was damaged.
