2 dead in Lakewood murder-suicide identified

LAKEWOOD, Wash. —
The two roommates that were found dead Tuesday in a mobile home in Lakewood have been identified, according to The News Tribune.

Lakewood police found 46-year-old Shawn Noble dead with one gunshot wound and the body of 49-year-old Greg Satterlee, who is believed to have been shot multiple times by Noble.

Lakewood police said a 911 call from Noble’s friend helped them piece together events surrounding the murder-suicide that happened Monday in the residence at the 6600 block of 150th Street Southwest.

Police said they received a concerning call around 10 p.m. that caused them to converge behind The Crossing apartments.

Police said the caller told them he spoke to Noble.

The caller also told police that Noble told him he made a mistake and had gotten into an argument with his roommate over rent money and said, “I shot and killed him,” according to investigators.

The caller told police Noble said, “Would you help me hide the body?” and the caller replied, “No, I’m not going to do that,” according to police.

Police said Noble then hung up on the caller and said he was going to kill himself.
A neighbor at the mobile home park told KIRO 7 shots were fired about 8 p.m., but officers did not show up until roughly 10 p.m.

The neighbor also said the shots may have been from automatic weapons.

A viewer video showed police making forced entry into the mobile home about 4 a.m. on Tuesday after they got no response at the door.

Police also used flash-bang grenades.

The Pierce County medical examiner removed the bodies Tuesday morning.

Neighbors said the murder-suicide came as a shock to their small, tight-knit neighborhood.

Police told KIRO 7 the last time they had been to that address was in April, when Noble was despondent over a broken relationship.

An investigation into the murder-suicide is still ongoing.
