TACOMA, Wash. — Police are searching for a suspect after a man was assaulted and a woman was sexually assaulted in Tacoma early Monday morning.
The assaults happened at about 1 a.m.
Investigators said two employees at Castle Megastore in the 6000 block of Tacoma Mall Boulevard had left the building after closing for the night.
A man confronted the two employees in the parking area.
"The suspect physically assaulted a male employee prior to sexually assaulting a female employee," said Tacoma police spokeswoman Loretta Cool in a news release.
Police believe the suspect was waiting until the employees left at closing time. Investigators also believe the same suspect committed a robbery at a Lover's Package in Puyallup two days earlier.
The suspect was described as about 6 feet tall, heavy set and wearing dark clothing.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
