2 men tried to rob Girl Scouts, Tacoma police say

The Tacoma Police Department have arrested Roman Anthony Mira (Pictured) as the primary suspect in the attempted robbery of a Girl Scout Cookie Stand in Tacoma. 

TACOMA, Wash. — UPDATE: 23-year-old Roman Anthony Mira has been arrested as the primary suspect in the attempted robbery of the girl scout cookie stand. A second suspect is still wanted by police.

Monday: The Tacoma Police Department has identified 23-year-old Roman Anthony Mira, known as Roman Anthony, as the suspect in the attempted robbery of the girl scout cookie stand.

Police say efforts to located Roman Anthony Mira have been unsuccessful and detectives have been told that he may have left Tacoma. An arrest warrant has been issued for Mira's arrest.

Anyone with information on Mira's location is asked to contact the Tacoma Police Department.

Original story: Two people, one with a gun, attempted to rob Girl Scouts selling cookies in front of a Tacoma store on Saturday evening, according to police.

The incident happened about 6:25 p.m. in front of a store in the 7200 block of Pacific Avenue, police spokeswoman Loretta Cool said.

Two white men in their 20s, both in gray sweatshirts and khaki pants, tried to rob the Girl Scouts, Cool said. One of the men had a gun tucked into his waistband.

They did not get any cookies or cash before fleeing on foot, Cool said.

Cool did not have further details about the incident Saturday evening.
