OLYMPIA, Wash. — State and city crews are preparing for possible flooding Friday in downtown Olympia.
The main concern for city officials is Capitol Lake, where sandbags are in place.
The flood warning is from 6 to 9 a.m., when the lake could crest over 15 feet.
The man-made lake is at the mouth of the Deschutes River which also received a flood warning Thursday from the National Weather Service.
If the lake floods, it will impact traffic in downtown Olympia.
Streets officials are watching include Adams and Columbia streets, as well as Thurston B, 4th and 7th Avenues.
