TACOMA, Wash. — A firearm and marijuana were found in the backpack of a Bellarmine Preparatory student, according to Tacoma police.
The Tacoma News Tribune reports a 17-year-old student was arrested and booked into Remann Hall Juvenile Detention Center Monday.
School security officers were alerted that the student had a gun in his backpack, a police spokesperson said.
Security officers searched the student’s backpack and found the items, but the student denied knowing about the marijuana.
