I-5 ramp blocked in Tacoma after shots fired at semi-truck

A southbound ramp to I-5 in Tacoma was blocked Thursday night after a collision and shooting.

A southbound ramp to I-5 was blocked Thursday night after a collision and shooting.

A semi-truck and a passenger car were involved in a collision shortly before 5 p.m. near the southbound I-5 ramp at the Port of Tacoma.

The driver of the passenger car fried multiple rounds at the semi, State Patrol Trooper Johnna Batiste said.

The semi-truck was hit, but no injuries were immediately reported. The man who troopers say fired the shots was arrested.
