BONNEY LAKE, Wash. — An Everett man meeting a woman he met on Facebook was robbed at gunpoint and beaten in Bonney Lake on Sunday morning.
Around 1:20 a.m., a deputy responded to a call of an armed robbery at a church parking lot in the 18400 block of South Tapps Drive East in Bonney Lake.
When the deputy arrived, she saw a man laying on the ground with a witness helping him.
The witness told the deputy that when he heard a noise and went outside to investigate, he saw the man on the ground and a vehicle driving away.
The 27-year-old man told the deputy he was from Everett and was at the church to meet up with a woman he met on Facebook.
The man said the woman showed up with another man and they robbed him at gunpoint and beat him.
The couple stole his truck and his wallet.
The man was transported to a hospital for treatment.
