PARKLAND, Wash. — A man was shot and injured at an apartment complex in Parkland on Thursday, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Office.
Around 12:01 p.m. on March 3, deputies responded to a report of a shooting at the Miramonte Apartments at 18th Avenue South and 112th Street South in Parkland.
Witnesses told deputies a man had been shot and was lying in the street.
When deputies arrived, they immediately provided medical aid to the injured man.
The man and witnesses were able to tell deputies who the suspected shooter was and where he went.
Deputies located the suspected shooter and took him into custody peacefully.
According to the sheriff’s office, the suspected shooter and injured man knew each other and there was a disagreement prior to the shooting.
The 25-year-old injured man was transported to a hospital with critical injuries.
The 26-year-old suspected shooter was booked into the Pierce County jail for first-degree assault.
