Police are looking for a man wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a 41-year-old man outside a home in Tacoma.
A felony warrant has been issued for Yancy Ray's arrest for second-degree murder and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Tacoma police say that at 9:55 p.m. on Saturday September 3, Ray shot and killed victim Hyson Sabb following an argument in the Hilltop neighborhood of Tacoma.
Ray and a woman were reportedly arguing about drugs. When Sabb intervened in the argument, Ray threatened to kill him, according to investigators.
Ray left the home and returned a short time later armed with a gun and shot the victim.
Ray left his vehicle at the scene and his whereabouts are not known.
Ray is a black man, 50 years old, 6 feet 2 inches tall, 175 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
He is known to use the street name "Slim" and the alias "Yancy Grayson."
Police say Ray has extensive violent criminal history in Washington and Oregon including a 1986 conviction for manslaughter. He should be considered armed and dangerous.
Sabb's wife, Adreine, says they had just gotten married two weeks ago and had a child together.
