SEATTLE — Nearly 6,000 customers in South Seattle were affected by a power outage caused by equipment failure at a substation Wednesday morning, according to Seattle City Light.
Crews were investigating the incident affecting 5,526 customers in the Seward Park, Rainier Valley, Dunlap and Lakeridge neighborhoods.
The outage was initially reported Wednesday at 10 a.m. and power was restored to most customers around 11 a.m.
