Tacoma police have detained a driver after they say the he crashed through an elementary school Wednesday night.
The incident happened at Sheridan Elementary School on McKinley Avenue.
Tacoma Public Schools spokesman Dan Voelpel said a truck drove through a brick wall and into the school's music room.
No one was inside the school during the crash.
Police said the driver will be arrested for driving with a suspended license.
Voelpel said school will be open Thursday.
