A man was arrested after Lakewood police say he fired shots at a driver he followed and a stray bullet went into a room, where it missed hitting a baby.
On Nov. 18, police said two men got into a fender bender in Sumner. When they got out of their cars, they didn’t want to call police about the crash.
According to investigators, the victim told the suspect he had a friend who worked at an auto body shop in Lakewood who could give him an estimate.
After they drove to Lakewood for the estimate, the victim went to the bank to withdraw $800, police said.
According to police, the suspect was angry and told the victim he wanted $900.
The victim left and investigators said as the victim drove through an apartment parking lot, the suspect followed and shot at him.
No one was hurt but a stray bullet went into a room where a 10-month-old baby was sleeping.
Police said the man was arrested Thursday morning.
