LACEY, Wash. — The Lacey Campus of St. Martin’s University was in lockdown after a nearby carjacking.
The university says the campus was locked down at 10:45 a.m. Monday. The lockdown was lifted at about 12:15 p.m.
Lacey police say there was an armed carjacking and that the suspects abandoned the car on campus and then fled. Officers suggested the school go into lockdown as a precaution.
Police said they quickly arrived at the school and that all indications were that the suspects had left the campus.
A K-9 unit was used to search the area, but the suspects were not found.
