PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. — The Sumner-Bonney Lake School District and the Sumner Paraeducators Association reached a tentative agreement on a three-year contract Sunday afternoon, according to the school district.
After reaching the tentative agreement, the school board meeting planned for 7:30 p.m. Sunday was canceled, and SPA members plan to vote on the tentative deal Monday.
This all comes after contract negotiations fell through Thursday afternoon and paraeducators decided to go on strike.
