Man fatally shot in South Hill area of Pierce County

PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. — A 27-year-old man is in custody in the homicide of a man in the South Hill area of Pierce County.

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Office says the shooting happened in the 17300 block of 97th Avenue Court East Monday.

Deputies say the 22-year-old victim is believed to be a relative of the suspect.

Detectives are at the scene.
